"China is still a developing country and much remains to be desired in infrastructure and other fields. This development stage determines that we must have stable effective investment," Li added.

"China is a superpower in manufacturing and it has large markets. And Israel is a leader in innovation and entrepreneurship, having strengths in artificial intelligence, software development and developing components used in robots, such as vision sensors.

"China has rolled out a series of supportive policies and will continue to do so to help businesses recover and further stimulate sports-related consumption," Li said.

"China has adequate policy tools and space to deal with potential scenarios," Chen said. "The Chinese economy can achieve around a 5-percent GDP growth this year on strengthened policy support."

"But the pilot program is relatively limited right now, involving a small group of people. The trials' expansion may take more time; it would be a gradual process," said Li, who is head of the blockchain research group of the National Internet Finance Association of China, in an exclusive interview with China Daily on Monday.
